After studying Art and Design at Croydon College, Clare began her textile career by completing a BA in Textiles and Surface Decoration, and subsequently an MA in Textiles and Print from Central St Martin's.
Working from a studio at the back of her grandmother's garden, Clare has gradually developed her textile and design skills to the point where she has been able to launch her own label pin-pin ltd .
Using textiles and a variety of techniques, including screen printed drawing, transfer printing, as well as hand and machine embroidery, she creates a range of unique, one-off bags, purses, scarves, brooches and fridge magnets.

Clare uses a large variety of plain and patterned fabrics, including wool, mohair, velvets, silk, ginghams and cottons. Favouring rich and vibrant colours, she has introduced heat transferring into her design process to allow greater flexibility when it comes to the colours and drawings. This also allows her to change the work in response to demand far more quickly and smoothly than with silk screen-printing.
Each item is a unique piece of art in itself!

Clare has brought vivid expression and a real sense of life to her work, she has consciously tried to develop a quirky style of drawing, and the "cartoon" like pieces have a certain naivety that people of all ages find attractive. |
